www.the-ziggurat.com is no more?

Hello friends,

it would appear as though http://www.the-ziggurat.com has ceased to exist. i have no idea why. i am however,glad that i have the video up on youtube.

the ziggurat flash video appears a number of times throughout radioheads history including both webcasts by the band (scotch mist and thumbs down) seen below.

and

and most recently it has found its way to radioheads spectacular live show as the back lighting for the new song fulstop seen below.

does anybody have any ideas as to why http://www.the-ziggurat.com has left the web? if so, please be kind enough to share your thoughts in the comments.

Mews is still present even while the band is on tour.

Hello folks.

with radiohead being on tour we have not gotten much activity from chieftan mews……….or have we?

here is a video of the band about to play lotus flower at the bonnaroo festival.

Also at the recent chicago,tinley park show on 6/10/2012 “THEY” played the song “fulstop” for the first time and our twitter friend @twisted_word (elly) pointed out that the background lighting used is the flash animation used for the ziggurat.

check out this video of the performance paying attention to the lighting used and then compare with the zig video.

So, what does it all mean? who knows but it does show the mews is still present and even a bit active on this current tour.

mews and www.radiohead.tv

By now i assume we all know about the atoms for peace DJ set. Stanley was there,nigel,thom. Ok, we get it. But what set my mind spinning was the fact that @chieftanmews changed his background image to the hypno bear (hollywood) version or “hypnobear8″>

now then, not only did he change his background pic but he also changed his website to http://www.radiohead.tv upon seeing this change i got really curious as to why in the world he would do such a thing. i mean,www.radiohead.tv has had nothing on it and has been a blank screen for a very long time and to the best of my knowledge the atoms for peace DJ set was not streamed on it so what the heck are they planning to do with that old thing? looking at the previous post you can see that i asked mews this question before to which i received nothing but mews ignoring the question. Then that rubber neck has the audacity to change his website to it! well, i really think something is going on and whatever it is i bet we have no clue.

your thoughts?

Did you ask @chieftanmews a question during his april fools Q-n-A on twitter? Did he not answer your question? If you did then go on and post your question here in the reply section of this post. i asked him the following.

I am very curious as to what other questions were asked because i have a hunch that he chose to answer certain questions for a reason and knowing what questions he did not answer will help.

the concept of a “chieftan mews”

I was going through some of the work muggs did over on our “big sister”www.ersmenoo.com and i began to think about back when the film “the most gigantic lying mouth of all time” was released and how shortly after there was this whole bit about people not receiving royalties payments and what not.more on that here> http://ersmenoo.com/who-is-chieftan-mews/ anyways…what if the original concept of a “chieftan mews” was an attempt by the band to take the big music industry and all the less than honest things they do to a band and give it a physical form. give it a face,a name,a voice?

That could be what chieftan mews was/is. Take the title of the film,The most gigantic lying mouth of all time. kinda sounds like something somebody might call a big time record executive. Of course the face provided for mews would be that of Mr Nigel godrich,seen below.

And why not? often referred to as “the sixth member of radiohead” he certainly is the man behind the curtain pulling the strings and you can bet he knows a thing or two about unsavory characters within the music biz.

now lets move on to the film “the most gigantic lying mouth of all time” the film marks the first release from the band once they were free from the clutches of that big monster record label EMI. i think we all know the story of radiohead and EMI and how the band got screwed by the label. so…it would make sense that the first release by the band after being done with EMI would reflect the distrust and bitterness the band would have towards EMI. Perhaps all those “snide remarks” by mews might have a bit to do with that?

Before Chieftan Mews reviled the Correct Meaning of Ims Menoo to be “He’s Mental” there was a number of interesting and somewhat zany attempts to figure out the meaning of the phrase including:

ims menoo = Emo Omnis = “Buy/Acquire Everything”

ers menoo = Nemo Sero = “No One” Scatter/Sprawl/Cultivate”

ims menoo is mime soon?

“Moon” Theories where also popular.

Ims Menoo is ”Semi Moon”!

ims menoo = anagram for moon mise with mise being a misspelling of mice ala “Mice, Dog Bird” the original title for “Separator”

ims means “instant message” and menoo is who you are supposed to message.

imsmenoo is a anagram of ‘Memo in so.’

there has been numerous times where mews himself has predicted the happenings of radiohead.

when chieftan claimed to be banished to the ziggurat i decided it would be fun to steal the ziggurat video and post it onto youtube,then send it to him so he could see what i did.(hoping he would give me a pat on the back for being a thief)i used a facebook that does not belong to me and sent him a message on his “wall”. take a look at the screenshot below. the video of the ziggurat at that time did indeed reveal the face of mews. however,if you go to http://www.the-ziggurat.com now you will see no sign of chieftans presence in the video. click on my youtube link and watch the video. then click on http://www.the-ziggurat.com and watch. do you see any differences? WELL GO ON….DO YOU??????????
